Southwest Softball Instruction

Welcome to Southwest Softball Instruction.

Crystal Draper, who is our pitching instructor, was a standout athlete at Oregon State University. During her time at OSU, she tallied All PAC-10 honors 3 times, All Regional Team 3 times, PAC-10 player of the week 5 times, and was an All-American (farm team).  At a competitive level, Crystal received All-American honors 4 times and has participated in the prestigious Canada Cup, a premier international and Olympic tournament, and played professionally in the Netherlands. During high school, Crystal was named Gatorade Player of the Year for Oregon and was also first team all state 3 times. She was named Oregon Softball player of the year, Mt. Hood conference player of the year 2 times, was first team all-conference 4 times, and was also a high school All-American.

Crystal has years of coaching and teaching experience. She, along with fellow OSU teammate Jodi Chmielewski began Northwest Softball Academy which is dedicated to providing lessons and clinics to teams in the Oregon area. She is a great instructor and knows the game very well. Currently Crystal is living in Chandler and coaching with the Gilbert Girls Little League and doing many individual and group pitching lessons.
